Description
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Accountant to join our dynamic team in Doha. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing financial accounting functions, ensuring compliance with local regulations, and supporting business decision-making through accurate financial reporting. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented professional with strong accounting experience, preferably within the industrial and oilfield safety and security services sector.
Responsibilities
Accounting and Financial Management:
- Manage the complete financial accounting cycle, including bookkeeping, general ledger, and financial statement preparation.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial reports, budgets, and forecasts.
- Oversee cash flow management, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Conduct regular financial analysis and reporting to support management decisions.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and company policies.
- Coordinate with external auditors and facilitate annual audits.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls to safeguard company assets.
- Review financial transactions and ensure accuracy of accounting records.
- Monitor financial performance and provide recommendations for improvement.
Qualifications
- Minimum of 6+ years of experience in accounting, preferably in the local market (Qatar).
- Postgraduate degree in a commercial subject (e.g., Accounting, Finance, Business Administration).
- Strong knowledge of Qatar’s financial regulations and tax compliance.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., SAP, Tally, or similar) and MS Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple accounting tasks efficiently.
- Fluency in English is mandatory; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
